Atlanta Metropolitan State College (AMSC) is looking for innovative and inspiring short films from talented content creators for our 2nd annual “Bring Your Brilliance Short Film Festival,” 10/28/2021 – 10/31/2021.  The festival is open to AMSC alumni and current students and Georgia high school students. This festival is sponsored by the School of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Digital Media & Entertainment Design program.
AMSC Digital Media & Entertainment Design program is committed to creating the content creators of tomorrow with classes in digital video production, producing, screenwriting, editing, motion graphics, sound for digital media and entrepreneurship. Students also take production and post production courses at the Georgia Film Academy which has classes at Georgia’s most prestigious sound stages and production studios.
AWARDS & PRIZES            
There are two sections for judging, one for AMSC students and alumni and the other for Georgia high school students. The following jury prizes and awards will be given:

Rules & Terms                
Submissions are open to all students currently enrolled at Atlanta Metropolitan State College, to all AMSC alumni, and to all current high school students in the State of Georgia.  Submitted films must be original works in English or with English subtitles, and must have been completed after January 1, 2021. Filmmakers must have served as director and/or producer of the film, and own the rights to use the content within the scope of the project, to be eligible.
Each submission must fit within one of the following film categories, and adhere to category time limits:
Short Documentary (maximum length: 10 minutes)
Short Narrative (maximum length: 10 minutes)
Micro Film (maximum length: 2 minute)
Filmmakers may submit a maximum of one film per category.
All submissions must be submitted only via the contest entry page at FilmFreeway.com and must adhere to any additional requirements posted on the site.  To be considered for entry into the AMSC Film Festival, films must be submitted between August 1, 2021, and October 15, 2021.  Winners will be notified by October 22, 2021.
Filmmakers warrant that any and all submitted films comply with all U.S. intellectual property laws, privacy laws, and other applicable laws and legal requirements.  Further, filmmakers authorize the AMSC Film Festival to publicly show and/or exhibit submitted films.  Filmmakers agree to indemnify and hold harmless Atlanta Metropolitan State College and its employees from any and all claims, lawsuits, or other costs resulting from either negligence or willful misconduct committed by filmmakers in association with the creation, production, publication, or distribution of film submitted to the AMSC Film Festival.
Filmmakers grant permission to Atlanta Metropolitan State College and its affiliates to exhibit and screen submitted films in conjunction with AMSC Film Festival screening events which will take place between October 28 – 31, 2021.  Furthermore, filmmakers grant Atlanta Metropolitan State College and its affiliates permission to use still images and video excerpts from submitted films, not to exceed one minute per film, for general marketing purposes by the College after the AMSC Film Festival screening period has concluded.
